The Electrical Department is devoted to the sector of rotating electrically powered machines running on both AC and DC at low and medium voltages. Our equipment includes coil winders, spindle molders, robots for the automatic banding of coils, a VPI impregnation system capable of operating under vacuum and under pressure, temperature-controlled ovens for the thermal elimination of coil windings, temperature-controlled ovens for polymerizing impregnating resins, a mica remover, and instruments for performing trials and tests. Thanks to our complete array of advanced equipment, we can independently handle any kind of winding job for machines with power ratings ranging from tens of kilowatts to tens of megawatts.
The Machine Tools Department is set up to service market sectors that are different from the electrical, thus enabling us to diversify the way we meet the needs of our varied clientele. Our staff in this area of the company has the same professionalism and can take advantage of the same advanced equipment as are found in our other departments.
All maintenance and overhauls can be performed in the Assembly Department, thanks to lifting systems that include bridge cranes with capacities of up to 120 tons, and professional equipment such as dynamic balancing machines with maximum capacities of 5000 and 15000 kg.
Our customers' needs can also be met with complete solutions developed by Elettromeccanica Viotto's On-Site Service Department. Here, the customer can count on equipment such as laser aligners, instruments for measuring and analyzing vibrations and for balacing rotating objects, a digital wattmeter for determining the electrical parameters of the machine and for harmonic analysis, equipment for measuring the electrical isolation and polarization index of the machines, a high-voltage DC generator for dielectric tests, an instrument for measuring the electrical resistance of windings..in short, everything that's needed for assuring the quality of any job the company carries out.
Another very important area is the Metalwork-Welding Department, which operates in synergy with the Electrical Department to enable Elettromeccanica Viotto to perform mechanical operations needed for constructing electrical components, without the need for outsourcing.
